During the 1990s, the United States spent more on technology than on agriculture, industry, transportation and all other equipment combined. Other countries also increased their investments in technology. Now, our world is a global village…one gigantic Facebook! If Facebook were a country, it would be the fourth largest country in the world!
Interestingly though, the cell phone has proven to be the fastest-growing technology in history – faster than the Internet! Developed in the 1940s, introduced in 1978 and practically a necessity by 2000…now more than four billion people own a cell phone.
